What you get.
A slot lives or dies on its symbols. Players judge a game in the first few spins, and most of what they see is a grid of small images moving fast. We design the full visual set as one system, so every piece belongs to the same world and every tier is clear at a glance.
- High-pay and low-pay symbol sets. Character or object symbols for the top tiers, and a lighter family for the low-pay symbols, with a clear visual step between them.
- Wild, scatter and feature symbols. Special symbols that stand out without breaking the style, so players notice them before they read them.
- Background and reel frame. A setting that supports the board instead of competing with it, and a frame that keeps the grid easy to scan.
- UI skin. Buttons, meters, balance and bet displays, and win panels drawn in the same visual language as the symbols.
- Title and logo art. A game title that works on the loading screen, in a lobby tile and at thumbnail size.
- Layered source files. Export sizes, naming and file structure agreed up front, so nothing needs to be rebuilt later.
How it works.
- Brief and references. We start with your theme, mechanic, grid size and target players, plus any art you already have or games you admire.
- Style frames on one hero symbol. Before drawing a whole set, we explore the style on a single high-pay symbol. It is the cheapest place to change direction.
- The full symbol set, tested on the real grid. Every symbol is checked at its actual size on your board, next to its neighbours, including win states and dimmed states.
- Background, UI and title. Once the symbols are settled, the world around them follows, so the background never fights the board.
- Exports and handoff. Final files go to our animators, to your team or to both, with the formats and naming agreed at the start.
You review the work at each step. Changes are easiest early, so the process puts the big decisions first and the polish last.
Built for the board.
Slot art has a job that most game art does not: it has to be read in a fraction of a second, again and again, for a long session. We design for that from the first sketch.
- Readability at small sizes. Shapes and faces stay clear on a phone held in one hand, not only on a large monitor.
- Colour separation between pay tiers. Players should be able to tell a high-pay symbol from a low-pay one before they recognise it.
- Silhouettes that survive motion. Symbols keep their shape while the reels spin, drop or cascade, and while win effects play on top of them.
- Consistent light and line. One light direction and one line weight across the set, so nothing looks borrowed from another game.
Our own game Inkfall shows the approach. Its cast is made of everyday drawing tools with strong personalities. Cyan, magenta, orange and warm yellow separate the characters, and thick outlines with exaggerated expressions keep each one readable without relying on tiny detail. The same visual language carries from the title artwork into the board.
Formats.
- Layered source files, organised by symbol and state.
- WebP or PNG exports at the sizes your build needs.
- Atlas-ready slicing for PixiJS, so symbols can be packed and loaded efficiently.
- Spine-ready part separation for characters that will be animated, with joints and overlaps planned from the start.
If your team uses a different engine or pipeline, tell us early and we will match its file structure and naming.
Pricing.
From $4,500

Questions studios ask.
Can you match our existing art style?
Yes. Send us the art you already have and we will build a small test symbol in that style first, so you can judge the match before the full set goes into production.
Do you design for a specific grid and mechanic?
Always. A 5x3 line game, a 7x7 cluster board and a cascading grid each need different symbol proportions and spacing. We test every symbol at its real size on your board.
Which files do we receive?
Layered source files, final exports at the agreed sizes, and atlas-ready or Spine-ready versions where the game needs them. Naming and structure are agreed before production starts.
Can the same team animate the symbols?
Yes. We also provide Spine slot animation, and designing and animating in one team means the art is prepared for motion from the first sketch.
